A most friendly staff. Only a minor complaint...each time we arrived for breakfast, it took a while for staff to arrive to serve coffee. Also, there were no hot items on the breakfast menu.
The hotel was very nice and the staff very helpful but it was a bit of a way out of town, This was not really a problem but for a short stay it would have been more convenient to have been in the centre.
My sister was travelling with us and her room, while perfectly comfortable, was in the lower part of the house which meant that her window was on the same level as the garden. She did not have much of a decent view as a result.
We stayed at this hotel 3 nights in June 11. The location is excelent if you don't mind a 10-15 min walk to the city centre. We had a very large, clean and smart triple room at the first floor. Free parking and internet. Excelent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. We'll certainly stay again at this hotel next time we'll visit Salzburg.
Lovely room with balcony and view of Alps. Extremely helpful staff...I wish I could remember the lady's name at the desk who gave us advice for a wonderful meal nearby, and was especially helpful directing us out of Salzburg. Our GPS got us there, and it took us through all the tourist area...awful! It was a breeze getting out though. The breakfasts were the best on our trip, with homemade baked goods every morning...delicious!
It was a bit far away from the main tourist area.
Interesting building adapted from a family home in a garden setting with a good outlook in quiet location. It is a family run business with very friendly people. Good local Gasthoff nearby to have an evening meal. Rooms were adequate and beds comfortable.
Being four star I had expected a more modern and organised place with some - but not all - facilities such as restaurant, pool, gym, internet access etc. However this place aims to be a four star bed and breakfast which is obviously different. A big breakfast eater would be disappointed. The overnight rate seemed expensive but Salzburg is an expensive city. I can't answer the next question; if I knew you wanted a quiet family place I would recommend it. If you wanted a big modern all singing all dancing 4 star hotel I wouldn't
The hotel stuff was excellent, there was peace and quiet, the view was perfect, and I strongly recommend it for families and young couples.
The location îs perfect: close to City centre, just 10 minutes by foot, and fantastic landscape at the same time. Very good hotel, hospitality of staff îs excited. Thank you, Gabriele!
I thought this was an excellent small hotel with a warm welcome and pleasing mountain chalet feel. The location was great being only a ten to fifteen minute walk to the city centre but still very quite. The flavour is Austrian so don't expect an American or English cooked breakfast but fresh eggs, cheese , meats and breads wonderful. We will certainly return to this hotel next time we are in Salzburg.
I am a little concern about the lower ground floor rooms as they appear to be partly below ground level. But I never went into them just saw where the windows where. These rooms could be great but I'm sticking to the upper floors.
Friendly, helpful hosts. Quiet location in suburban area with view over roof tops to distant hills all within easy walk into old town. Comfortable room and good breakfast.
Room small and bathroom tiny and awkward with very poor shower drainage, which is a shame as it detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay, with this in mind not good value for money.
Clean room, beautiful views from room balcony, good breakfast, friendly owners and staff. Only downside was shower drain did not keep up with wonderful rainfall shower head so water leaked into vanity area.
Super location, just short ten minute walk and you are in central Salzburg. The Hotel was very clean, lovely breakfast room. Very light and airy feel to the room with big windows and door onto balcony.
The hotel is a short walk down to the centre of Saltzburg, yet set in a quiet place backing onto mountains. Very spacious family room and good breakfast supplied. Breakfast room overlooked a lovely garden, with the mountains as a backdrop.
Very quait and cosy plase not far from old town.
The hotel was located in a position to the city that was perfect and the staff were very friendly. We found that there was a family feel in the hotel which made it warm and welcoming.
Unfortunately I am a fussy eater and breakfast was not to my liking, toast, bacon yogurt wuold have been a good choice. Please do not take this as a criticism as I mentioned I am a fussy eater
Close to Salzburg centre and a very quite location with parking. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Room and bathroom (in particular) was a little small, but being in Europe and a smaller family run hotel I can understand why.
